Following the 12 year cycle of the Chinese zodiac , 2013 is represented by the snake—a symbol of mystery and charm, that is said to be the qualities of those born in the year of the snake.
Although in reality a creature that is often feared or reviled, the snake in Chinese mythology and zodiac is thought of as charming, charismatic and elegant.

Sixth out of the twelve zodiac cycle, the snake follows after the majestic dragon and is the Chinese zodiac of those born in the years of: 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 and in 2013.
