Keep the popular chrysanthemum blossoms in your house year round with this red, gold and black bento box. The black button-like blossoms are outlined in gold and pop against the red background. Also known as "mums," the chrysanthemum is loved throughout the world, but is especially celebrated in Japan. An annual "Festival of Happiness" honors the flower.
The pattern covers the lid and sides of the box but allows for the edges to be a simple, polished black. Each of the three compartments included in the set are lacquered black. The traditional use of the bento box is a lunchbox, with three drawers there is plenty of space for all sorts of treats. Four short legs elevate the set. Each drawer can be used as a single box or stack the pieces to create a full three-drawer set.
Great as a decorative piece to keep jewelry and other knick knacks stored in and is a functional and fabulous alternative to everyday clear plastic containers. Made in Japan. Ships in paper gift box. Plastic. Hand washing recommended.
