perfect subtlety

The construction is seamless with only subtle indications of it's being made by hand. You can see where the bottom was smoothed with a fine toothed tool and can feel a slight ridge where the upper and lower halves are joined. I only comment on this because it is nice to see the hand of the artist in the work. Being a potter I appreciate the elegance of the work but the flawless function of the piece is truly remarkable.
