In addition to the yin yang symbol, another timeless image used in Feng Shui is the Ba Gua (or Ba Qua). Now this historic and intricate design is showcased in our lovely eight-sided Ba Gua jade necklace from Taiwan.
Made from gorgeous glazed Burmese jade, each necklace features a medium-size green Ba Gua pendant. And because each jade piece varies naturally in color, markings and intensity, each necklace is a special one-of-a-kind keepsake!
For centuries, ba gua has been both an important practice and essential symbol of the ancient Taoist philosophy of Feng Shui
. It is traditionally represented as eight diagrams consisting of a series of three lines, arranged in different patterns. These lines, commonly known in English as trigrams, symbolize various aspects of yin yang concept.
Each jade necklace includes a traditional Ba Gua pendant, complete with the classic trigram lines carved into its front and back. A yin yang circle made of jade is also perched freely but securely in the middle of each pendant.
The Ba Gua jade piece is tied to a medium-length dark green polyester strap. Both sides of this adjustable cord also feature red and yellow knots that connect to two circular accent jade pieces.
This elegant eight-sided Ba Gua jade necklace makes a unique and thoughtful gift; whether you’re shopping for a special present for the jewelry
lover in your life, or looking for a lovely keepsake to add to your collection of accessories or Asian giftware.
For your convenience, each necklace is comes with a fabric pouch-just right for gift-giving or safe storage.
