The wok originated in China and is designed to cook a complete meal quickly and evenly. Carbon steel is one of the best materials to use when cooking as it uses heat in the most efficient manner. The preseasoned bottom will take the seasoning guess work out of making an Asian meal. A wooden handle makes maneuvering the wok easy, even when its contents are boiling hot. Made in Taiwan. Pair with item 6186 for a perfect fitting and matching wok set. Hand washing recommended.

    Very nice kitchen tool

    I haven't had a chance to use my new wok yet. I have to learn how to prepare Japanese Sukiyaki first to surprise my wife. She thinks I can't cook. (She's right!)
    I have seen others that included a cover. I wish I had a cover too.

    The wok was all that was advertised. While it was "pre" seasoned, I did follow the seasoning procedure described by PF Changs. I got the wok super hot, brushed it with the green ends of several bunches of green onions and then fried pork fat in the wok. I did this twice and the wok has performed perfectly! Great flavor and nothing sticks. I believe it's all in the seasoning and using extremely high heat(luckily, we only have propane in Mexico and it burns hotter than Nat. Gas). I have not had issues with the handle as others describe (tightened it very well when assemblying). Just a darned good wok and performs well.

    • -basically none, although I would recommend additional seasoning as I described for immediate results and hassle free "woking"!

    Very disappointed...

    After checking all the positive reviews from the website, I decide to try this wok. However, I was very very very disappointed! The wok stuck everything...eggs, meats and even veggies! I needed to put a lot oil to prevent the problem. My husband even asked me to donate this wok to charity... No worth one penny. The worst wok I have ever used!!!!!
    Merchant Response:This wok is only pre-seasoned and it is not a non-stick wok. Maybe try using a little bit more oil when cooking.

    First when you see this wok, you will be like "WOW" the wok is blue!!! After finding out about the material, i was told that it's safe and USDA approve.

    So the first time i used it to make stir fry, i put eggs.. i'm so surprise, it didn't stick at all!! Veggie, mushrooms.. non of those stick. I'm really really surprise.

    The wok color do change and the blue color turned like dark brown. Still it function as usual. I wanted to get 14" wok because its better! I feel 12" is too small!

    Ps, you must get the wok cover too!
