Mimicking the hues seen from a peacock, these wakasa nuri chopsticks are beautiful and stunning at every angle. While the colored horizontal stripes are alluring on their own with shimmering fine glitter, small shards of shell inlay are also scattered all over these wooden chopsticks
making them stand out even more.
Following a detailed and time consuming method, these wakasa nuri chopsticks are made by placing layers over layers of lacquer over a small wooden stick. These layers slowly build up the size and shape of the chopsticks and sometimes take up to 50 layers to complete the design. For these beautiful chopsticks, as the layers were placed, small shards of shell inlay were placed in between each layer so once carved down, the shimmering shell inlay would expose itself creating a smooth and beautiful shattered effect all over the chopsticks. To finish off the look of the chopsticks, dark hues of silver shimmers thin lines of orange, green, silver, red and gold are painted alongside the shattered inlay to make a stunning work of art.
A beautiful gift for any special occasion, these chopsticks are great for use in the kitchen, or even as a hair accessory because of it’s unique and beautiful design. Packages in a plastic wrap, these wakasa nuri chopsticks are recommended to be hand washed. Made in Japan.
