Made in Japan and crafted from exceptionally fine wood, these stunningly black lacquer chopsticks feature a very mysterious design with black surrounding these intricately design layers of color within the chopsticks.
These black lacquer chopsticks, also known as Wakasa chopsticks are made from layering many different lacquer upon one another forming a nice intricate design once it is cut open. With pertinence and time, the artist would start from a wooden stick, with that stick they would layer one lacquer over it. Once that layer is dry they would repeat over and over again once they are satisfied with how much lacquer they used. Once it is down they would determine the shape of the chopsticks by carving it out to the shape they desire.
With this wonderful yet mysterious black lacquer chopsticks, the layer of lacquer that was used is orange, light blue, yellow, and red surrounding the original color black that was lastly used. When you run your hand through this chopsticks you would notice several slightly indented features on the lacquered design because the artist carved the shape of the chopsticks accordingly to the layers of lacquer. The chopstick is finished off with a smooth and glossy texture.
Each one of these mysteriously black lacquered chopstick
holds their own originality because of the lacquered that was used accordingly to each artist that made it. They all look similar to one another but they all have their own originality to it, none of them would look identical with one another. The chopsticks are wrapped in a plastic chopstick bag, which would be a great present idea for this coming Christmas.
