Donburi in general are excellent for the microwave, for storage of left-overs and for a one person serving
of soup or stir-fry. The photo of this bowel was probably done in a bright light. The actual bowl in room
light can look brown, green or blue or a combination o all three which is what I find appealing about this
particular
bowel.

My wife and i have different work schedules and we often pass each other during mealtime. Since i do most of the cooking , the Donburi Bowls make perfect portion meal containers for folks on the go. As she walks in from work , her meal is still hot , covered and waiting for her. The bowls are good quality , attractive , and utilitarian. I have never been disappointed with any purchase from this company and i am a return customer.

I love the rustic color of this bowl. It is the perfect size for a one person serving, and is safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher. I am trying to get away from plastic containers an this is the perfect solution.

I spent over three years working in Japan with GOJ national agencies, and a total of 8 yrs in Asia. Dined out a lot. Lots of donburi dishes. These exceeded my expectations, which were very high. Thanks. I will definitely stay in touch.
Pros- "Antique" finish is excellent - matches some of my real antique pottery. Dishwasher and Microsoft safe is a big plus even though I personally prefer not to use them.

Gorgeous display of craftsmanship. Microwave & Dishwasher Safe, so very practical. Lid lip fits "just so" into edge around bowl. Keeps soups warm and steamed rice tender. Break a brick of Ramen noodles into it, add water, microwave, and my son is happy as a clam! Solid weight means fewer worries about chipping, although I'd absolutely replace it if it were to break.
