A subtle and carefully made work of Japanese ceramicware, these beautiful Japanese noodle bowls are beautifully embossed with blue dots that lead into white ridges. Their simplistic design makes them a perfect accompanying piece for your unique dinnerware set! Made in Japan in small kiln batches, these artful noodle bowls also come in a
set of six, which would make for a wonderful gift idea to friends who enjoy finely made Japanese ceramics. Tokusa, or Japanese “ten-grass,” is a wild variety of reed-like grass that grows around the beautiful wetlands of Japan. Tokusa is seen depicted in this bowl as the white ridges resemble their stalks, and the blue dots beautiful blue tinged ends of the plant. Tokusa grass has been a widely depicted subject throughout Japanese history, and its image conjures up visions of classical ink wash paintings.
